A WINTER WONDERLAND
The Highlands Inn is located in one of the best ski areas in the country. Two major ski resorts are within 15 minutes of the Inn - Bretton Woods and Cannon Mountain. Four others are within 40 minutes. Discounted lift tickets and cross-country passes are available at the Inn. They'll guarantee your admission with no waiting in ticket lines!
The ski resorts offer snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowtubing, and snowshoeing in addition to alpine skiing. Ice skating and sleigh rides are also available. The facilities open as early as mid-November and usually stay open through mid-April for some super spring skiing! They discount their rates midweek, so come then if you can.
If you're not up for downhill, 15 miles of trails provide excellent cross-country skiing and snowshoeing right on our property. We offer complimentary use of snowshoes. And snowmobilers are welcome! The Inn is surrounded by some of the best snowmobile trails in New England. You can ride these trails all the way to Canada. Rentals are available locally.
You can even go dog sledding in the White Mountain National Forest or on private trails. One- and two-hour trips are available within minutes of the Inn. These "adventure tours" are both fun and educational! Dog sled rides are also available at The Rocks Estate right in Bethlehem.

To reserve the time that you want, all you need to do is sign up on a sheet that's posted on the door to the spa.
