JULY-SEPTEMBER CONCERTS - FREE!

 

  • The Plaid Dragonflies, July 27-29: The Plaid Dragonflies are a fun loving, energetic duo playing original songs as well as covers, performing a mix of blues, country, rock and jazz. The duo consists of Valerie Bennett on guitar and vocals and Tess Zardus on vocals, bass and harmonica. The Plaid Dragonflies live in Maine where they have been busy promoting their new Cd, The Plaid Dragonflies. Val and Tess weave amazing harmonies throughout the music they play and love performing. Val has been performing with various groups and many woman musicians over the years. Tess and Val both currently belong to an all female band called The OverEz Band. Tess studied music and has gained much of her musical knowledge growing up and performing in Nebraska, while Val has lived in Maine for all of her life.   • Chrissy Budzinski & Diana Di Gioia, September 7-9: Chrissy Budzinski is a folk singer/songwriter whose style of music ranges from beautiful heartfelt ballads to upbeat and outrageous fun songs. A native of Titusville, PA, Chrissy started playing guitar when she was twelve - writing her first song at fifteen. She moved to upstate New York in the early 1980’s and has been performing at coffeehouses, bookstores, Pride Picnics and concert halls in New York and Massachusetts. Her biggest musical thrill to date was opening for “BETTY” at Paige Hall, and also opening for Cheryl Wheeler at the Eighth Step in Albany, New York. Chrissy is refreshing and unique.   • Out Late singer-songwriter Diana Di Gioia calls her songs “missives from the lesbian-centric corner of the universe”. Funny, sexy and irreverent, Diana’s music flows from rock to blues and from folk to acoustic, and features queer themes, smart lyrics and strong melodic hooks. Her first album, Out Late, has been featured on LGBT radio programs around the world, including Pride Radio Denmark, New Zealand’s Women on Waves and the syndicated radio magazine program “This Way Out”. Her song, “A Woman is the Only Man for Me” made the top ten on Stonewall Society’s Out Voices online chart four months in a row.   • Lizzy Pitch, September 14-16: Ladies, watch if you dare as Lizzy Pitch performs live on piano, guitar and drum stick on chair!   • Andrea Paquin, October 26-28: Andrea has been playing and singing since the age of 15. She is a self taught musician and has been writing and performing her original music since the beginning of her career. Andrea was born and raised in NH where she spends much of her free time hiking in the White Mountains. Andrea expresses her love of nature through her songs, hoping to share and create an awareness of the planet we all inhabit. She has played all over the Northeast sharing stages with such talented musicians as Howie Day, Melissa Ferrick, Chris Pureka, Zoe Lewis, Blessed Union of Souls, Gregory Douglas, Garrison Starr, Namoli Brennet, Edie Carey, Anne Heaton, Jess Klien, Ember Swift, and Pamela Mean. www.andreapaquin.com

  • Annie Rich, November 2-4: Singer/Songwriter Annie Rich captivates audiences with her original folk rock music which the Cape Cod Times calls "openhearted and passionate." She is currently supporting her CD "Places of the Heart" and recently released a single titled "Reason to Shine." All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Carrie A. Seaman Animal Shelter in Provincetown Ma. Annie plays all around the US and Canada, and has performed at many festivals including Colorado Music Festival, Falmouth Folk Festival, New England Woman's Festival, Go Girls Music Festivals and The Women's Week (Provincetown, MA).   • Jianda Monique, November 9-11: Renaissance Woman: A health-conscious artist, musician, vocalist/guitarist and widely-published writer, featured Om Lounge 10 recording artist Jianda Monique is also a poet, guitarist, photographer, actress and singer-songwriter with singles/albums that are both self-released and available on several international independent labels including: Om Records, Merck, Ghostly, Kinkysweet Records, Jam Recordings/Jam Music Australia and Gammaphone, as well as her self-titled solo CD.
